아름다운 단풍길

가을 단풍을 보러 가야지 생각하면서도 막상 차가 막힐 것을 생각하며 주저 했는데, 의외로 산이 아니어도 서울 시내에서 단풍을 감상할 수 있는 곳이 많이 있네요.

서울시에서 추천하는 아름다운 단풍길 81개소

오색 빛깔 단풍이 한 폭의 그림처럼 어우러지는 가을.

단풍의 계절을 맞아 야외로 나들이하고 싶지만 선뜻 나서기가 주저된다면, 가족, 친구, 연인과 함께 도심 속 단풍길로 가을나들이를 나서보는 건 어떨까요?

서울시는 서울시내 대표적인 ‘아름다운 단풍길’ 81개소 총 148.54㎞를 선정하고, 10월 21일부터 다음 달 중순까지 낙엽을 쓸지 않고 관리해 가을의 정취와 낭만을 한껏 느낄 수 있게 하기로 했습니다.

남산순환 산책1길, 월드컵공원 순환길, 배봉산 중랑천 둑길은 ‘가을철 걷기좋은 서울길’ 베스트 10으로도 선정된 바 있어 가을철 최적의 걷기 코스이며, 강서구의 ▴공암나루 근린공원 산책로 ▴서남환경공원 산책로 ▴화곡로 3곳이 올해 새롭게 대상지에 추가됐습니다.

물을 따라 걷는 길은 주로 하천변 산책로로 차량과 마주치는 일이 없어 멋진 단풍길을 편안하게 걸을 수 있습니다. 하천을 따라 걷다보니 시야가 넓고 수려한 경관으로 인해 시원한 청량감을 느낄 수 있는 길이 많으며 또한 중간중간 운동기구들이 설치되어 있어 가벼운 운동을 겸해 찾아오는 시민들이 많은 것이 특징입니다. 

* 성동교에서 군자교까지 송정제방은 3.2㎞에 이르는 울창한 수림이 유명하고,

* 동대문구 관내 중랑천 제방길 5.6㎞도 왕벚나무와 느티나무 단풍도 유명해 걷기 좋은 단풍길로 선정되었습니다.

* 강북구 우이천 제방길 3㎞ 구간은 플라타너스가 쭉 뻗은 아름다운 낙엽길로 유명하고,

* 도봉구 중랑천 제방길이나, 서대문구 홍제천변길도 아름다운 하천을 따라 난 산책로로 손꼽히는 곳입니다.

종로구 동십자각에서 삼청터널까지의 1.5㎞ 삼청동길은 은행나무와 느티나무가 아름다운 단풍길입니다.

경복궁과 삼청동의 화랑, 예쁜 공방, 맛집 등에 마음을 빼앗기며 걷다보면 어느새 코스의 마지막 삼청공원에 도착해 가족들이 도란도란 얘기를 나눌 수 있는 나들이코스로 제격입니다.

덕수궁 대한문에서 경향신문사까지의 덕수궁길 8백미터도 빠질 수 없는 대표적 도심 산책입니다.

커다란 은행나무, 느티나무, 작은 양살구의 단풍잎이 가족과 연인들의 눈을 즐겁게 할 뿐만 아니라 곳곳에 배치된 덕수궁, 시립미술관, 공연장과 영화관 등의 문화공연을 덤으로 즐길 수 있는 나들이 길입니다.

삼각지역에서 녹사평역까지의 이태원로 1㎞도 은행나무와 플라타너스가 아름다운 단풍과 낙엽의 길입니다.

이태원로는 요즘 트랜디한 거리로 떠오르며, 디자인이 독특한 쇼핑공간과 맛집이 즐비한 관광명소이며 하얏트호텔 쪽으로 남산산책로와도 연결되는 곳이기도 합니다.

청계천도 도심을 관통하는 이팝나무 단풍이 아름다워 걷기 좋은 단풍길로 선정되었습니다.

특히 도심, 동대문, 신설동 풍물시장 등이 연결되어 있어 나들이코스로 훌륭한 곳입니다.

남산 북측산책로는 설명이 필요 없는 서울의 대표 산책로이자 왕벚나무 단풍이 한껏 물들고 있는 단풍길입니다. 특히, 유모차나 휠체어도 접근이 쉬워 많은 노약자나 장애인들이 즐겨 찾는 곳입니다.

양재시민의 숲과 인근 문화예술공원은 거대한 메타세쿼이아 단풍길이 인상적인 곳입니다.

송파나루공원(석촌호수)도 왕벚나무 단풍이 아름다운데다 롯데월드와 함께 이용하기 좋다.

대형공원들도 단풍철에 꼭 가보아야 하는 곳입니다. 숲이 조성된지 20년이 넘어 큰 나무들이 많은 올림픽공원과 뚝섬 서울 숲, 하늘공원의 억새와 평화의공원의 단풍이 유명한 월드컵 공원 등도 가볼 만한 단풍이 아름다운 곳입니다.

광진구 아차산생태공원에서 워커힐 호텔까지의 워커힐길은 벚나무와 단풍으로 붉게 물든 단풍길을 목재데크 보도위로 편안히 걸을 수 있도록 되어 있어 장애인 및 어르신들께 인기가 많은 곳입니다. 인근 아차산과 연결된 아차산 자락길은 숲속을 편안히 걸을 수 있어 추천할 만한 산책로입니다.

북한산을 오르는 길에 만나는 단풍길도 많습니다. 강북구 4.19길과 인수봉길, 은평구 진흥로와 북한산길도 느티나무, 은행나무, 왕벚나무가 아름다운 단풍길입니다.

서대문 안산 산책로는 느티나무 산책로를 따라 숲속을 걸어가면 메타세쿼이아 숲길을 만나는 인상적인 단풍숲길입니다. 강서구 우장공원내 산책로는 원당산과 검덕산으로 연결되며, 방화공원은 개화산이나 꿩고개로 연결됩니다.

서울대 정문쪽 관악산 입구 2㎞ 산책로 구간의 왕벚나무 단풍은 서울에서 단풍이 일찍 드는 곳 중 하나입니다. 숲속도서관을 비롯해 중간 중간 휴식공간이 많고 포장된 넓은 길이어서 휠체어나 유모차를 이용하기에도 좋습니다.

한편, 기상청은 올해 서울 북한산 단풍 절정기를 10월 27일경으로 예상하고 있으며, 서울 도심지역은 이보다 늦은 11월 초순에 절정을 이룰 것으로 예측된다고 밝혔습니다. *

모듈식 스마트폰, 모토롤라의 신개념 스마트폰 Project Ara

폰블락에 이어 모토롤라도 모듈식 스마트폰 플랫폼을 개발중이라는 뉴스가 나왔네요.
'프로젝트 Ara'라는 이름으로 기본틀에 카메라, 배터리등을 모듈 형태로 조립할 수 있는 것으로 phonebloks 와 개념은 거의 비슷해 보입니다.

How to add more storage to an iOS device

Can't fit all your music, movies, documents, and other stuff? Before you spend money on a higher-capacity iPhone, iPod, or iPad, read this

Apple's iDevices famously -- make that infamously -- rely on fixed storage. If you need more space, well, too bad.
Granted, you can try a utility like PhoneClean, which can reclaim some space, but that gets you only so far. For any kind of significant storage boost, you have little choice but to upgrade to a more capacious iPhone, iPod, or iPad.
Actually, you do have one other option. A growing number of devices give you extra space for music, movies, photos, documents, and other data, and some of them are surprisingly affordable.
I'm talking about wireless card readers (also known as media hubs), which connect via Wi-Fi to your iDevice. So instead of popping a microSD card inside your iPhone or iPad (which, alas, is impossible), you pop one into an external drive you can keep stowed in a bag, pocket, or wherever.
Suppose, for example, you're taking a long trip. You want to bring along your entire music library -- not just the handful of playlists that fit on your 16GB iPad Mini -- and enough movies to last you through two or more long flights.

With one of these readers, you can stock, say, a 32GB SD card with more than enough songs and videos, while still leaving space on your Mini for apps and other stuff. And several models support USB flash drives as well, so if you have a few of those lying around, fill 'em with stuff!

In broad strokes, most of these devices work like this:

Step 1: Connect the reader to your PC, then fill it with any and all media/data you want to bring along.

Step 2: Install the companion app that goes with the reader.

Step 3: Run the app, then connect to the reader. Now you can stream your media, view your photos, access your documents, transfer files, and so on.

One key feature to look for when shopping for a wireless reader is a pass-through option, which allows your device to stay connected to a Wi-Fi network while simultaneously connected to the reader. Otherwise it's a huge hassle to disconnect and reconnect all the time.

In recent weeks I've tested a handful of these wireless media hubs, and a couple stand out. First up: the Iogear MediaShair Hub, which lists for $99.99 but Amazon currently sells for $59.33. No larger than a deck of cards, it looks like a miniature router, and in fact it can actually double as a mobile access point.

The MediaShair accommodates both SD cards (or microSD with an adapter) and USB drives. It works quite well with iOS devices, even if its app is a little clunky to use and not great as a music player. You can even top off your iPhone's battery by plugging directly into the MediaShair's USB port.

Similarly versatile is the RAVPower FileHub 5-in-1, which sells for $44.99, and includes a larger battery than the MediaShair. It offers both Wi-Fi hot-spot and NAS features, and works with both SD or microSD cards, and USB drives.

By the way, if you need a lot of added space, a handful of companies offer wireless hard drives that work much the same way -- except now you're looking at 500GB, 750GB, or even a terabyte of mobile storage. However, these drives are much heavier and bulkier, and they cost quite a bit more. One solid pick: the Patriot Aero.

In an ideal world, iDevices would have expansion slots. In this one, you can expand by way of external storage. All you need is a $45-$60 card reader and some inexpensive memory cards/flash drives.

Chromium OS




As many of you know 'chromium OS' is an open source operating system that has been made famous by the amazing Hexxeh. Since then, many people have often wondered on how to install this to a hard drive? Is it possible to get Chrome OS not Chromium? Can I dual boot this?

Fortunately for everyone who wishes to do any or all of these it is perfectly possible.

This may work with apple laptops and desktops as the hardware is the same as windows based laptops but I have yet to try.

The total amount of time for you complete all of the instructions should be about thirty minutes in total; this includes downloading of the Chromium OS, installing and downloading and installing the Chrome OS operating system over the top.

Chrome OS also includes all the codecs and missing pieces from Hexxeh's Chromium build such as flash and mp3. If you wish to get the codecs that are missing from Hexxeh's builds without upgrading to chrome os due to any reason, there are instructions at the top of the screen on how to do this.

Please read the disclaimer at the bottom of this article before proceeding. Not all hardware will boot Chromium and Chrome OS. I SHALL NOT GIVE OUT INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO CREATE A CHROME NUMBER TO RECEIVE THE GOOGLE DRIVE OFFER! DON'T ASK!

If you wish to dual boot you will need two HDD's as it is not possible to dual boot from just one. follow the instructions to dual boot at the bottom of this article!


How to install Chromium OS.

Before you can get the official builds of Chrome OS you must first install Chromium onto your hard drive. To do this you must first make a bootable Chromium usb drive as described here. Hexxeh gives very simple instructions on how to do this. 

IF YOU WANT MORE HARDWARE SUPPORT THEN DOWNLOAD CHROMIUM OS LIME FROM DOWNLOADS AT THE TOP OF THIS BLOG. IT DOES NOT RECEIVE UPDATES ANY MORE BUT DOES GIVE EXTRA HARDWARE SUPPORT!!

Once you have made your bootable memory stick you then need to boot from it and quickly set it up so you can begin installing it to your HDD/SDD.

NOTE: Not all graphic cards are supported, if you get a blank screen before or after the Chromium logo then try the on board graphics if possible, if not, your hardware may not work with Chromium.


Warning!
Installing Chromium into a hard drive formats the entire drive not just a partition. If you wish to dual boot you will need two HDD's as it is not possible to dual boot from just one. follow the instructions to dual boot at the bottom of this article!

To install chromium simply boot into Chromium from the memory stick press and hold ctrl + alt and press t (you may need to alternate pressing alt and t while holding ctrl) and this will bring you to the Crosh command. Do this once you have logged in.

Here you will need to run the command:

install

You will then be prompt for the username and password which are:

Username = chronos
Password = facepunch

Some users will ONLY be asked for the password
You will then have a few prompts to confirm you will lose all data etc, agree to all of these and Chromium will begin installing on your HDD, this took about two minutes on my currently set up with an i3.

Once Chromium has installed simply turn off your computer, remove your memory stick and turn back on.

You have now installed Chromium on your HDD.

You are now free to format your memory stick, HDD guru is the best tool to format as it is free and will format drives without damaging them, it also allows for low level format although you only need to remove the MBR.


HOW TO UPGRADE CHROMIUM TO CHROME OS!

The advantage about upgrading to Chrome OS is the added codecs and other little things that due to licencing Hexxeh is unable to give out but its already in Chrome OS.

Before proceeding make sure you are logged into chromium and NOT using a guest account.

To install Chrome OS is very simple, first you need to boot into a HDD installed Chromium OS and open the developer console CTRL + ALT + F2 ( you may need to alternate ALT and F2 while holding control.

Here you will need to type the command:

sudo su

Then you will need to follow the prompts for username and password as listed above and confirm that you agree with the shown agreement.

There is now one more command that you will need to run that is the final step in installing Chrome OS.

Type the above command and then press enter.

you will now be given the options for 13 different builds of Chrome OS, each build is for a different install such as the series 3 samsung chromebook, the series 5 chromebook, the series 3 chromebox and other chromebooks.

Pick the build of Chrome OS you would like be typing the corresponding number and pressing enter.

The script will then begin to download and install your Chrome OS for you, this will take about 5 minutes on a 100mb internet connection.

Once the script has finished running you are ready to reboot. ( you will know if the script has finished running as you won't be able to exit the developer console ( ctrl+alt+F1))

Reboot and you will now have Chrome OS installed!!!

If Chrome OS then does NOT boot, the image of your chosen Chrome OS install simply doesn't work on your hardware so just repeat the install of Chromium and try another build, if none of the recovery images boot then you will not be able to use Chrome OS and will have to stick with Chromium.

Once Chrome OS has been installed and you have logged in you will receive an error stating that your account has been used on a higher build number than the current install, all this means is that your user profile has been loaded from the chromium install from earlier and as chromium uses a newer source code Chrome OS thinks you have downgraded, to fix this simply go into settings -> advanced settings -> power wash, let this run for about two minutes and you will be good to go. YOU WILL LOSE ALL DATA WHEN DOING THIS!!!!

For those who are unable to run Chrome OS or do not wish to install Chrome OS over Chromium, you can add codecs to Chromium through commands in terminal, this gives you access to Java, flash, mp3, mp4 and pdf's in Chromium images supplied by either myself or Hexxeh. The instructions for this can be found under the instructions tab at the top.

Dual boot ANY OS and Chrome OS!

Dual booting with Chrome OS is very simple if you wish to have ANY other operating system installed along side it.

You can only dual boot using two HDD's as installing Chromium requires formatting the entire HDD and you then have no way of partitioning the drive until it is formatted.

Simply remove the HDD with the operating system you currently use so you only have the hdd you wish to have Chromium/Chrome OS installed one and then the follow the steps to install Chromium/Chrome OS.

Once you are satisfied with your Chromium/Chrome OS install, simply reinstall your original HDD to your computer and then pick your boot order in the bios.
If you wish to boot to the other drive then you simply pick it as a temp boot during the boot sequence.

You may be able to dual boot using grub or similar program to partition linux based partitions but there is no garuantee as I have confirmed that some partitions are ONLY readable by Chrome OS and no other linux based application/OS.

Disclaimer:
Auto-updates do not work on factory recovered Chrome installs and as such, to upgrade, the entire set up must be completed from a clean install of Chromium.
